Planned Electric Outage – Tuesday, October 4, 2016 – 9:30 AM

Otero County Electric Cooperative (OCEC) will have a planned outage on Tuesday, October 4, 2016. This outage will affect consumers in the Rainmaker subdivision, Ft. Stanton area and along Airport Road. OCEC plans to begin the outage at 9:30 AM. The total time of the outage is anticipated to be four (4) hours. Members in the Ft. Stanton area and along Airport Road should only experience a brief outage.

The purpose of this outage is to add additional equipment that should shorten future outage times, protect Rainmaker three-phase equipment and help prevent outages in the Rainmaker subdivision from affecting the main feeder line to the airport and Ft. Stanton. This work is part of a plan to rebuild underground line in the Rancho Ruidoso Valley Estates and provide an alternate power feed into the Rainmaker subdivision.
